When my Dad still walked this earth, he instilled in me the Art of Contemplation. His way of exploring the nuances of life involved taking me out on Daddy Daughter Dates to inspect, contemplate and consider new perspectives, all over coffee & conversation.
His legacy phrase of, "Let's consider it all and come to no conclusions" lives on within me as one of my favorite practices in expanding my perspective.
When I discovered Humand Design in 2020, I found it to be one of the most magical and practical tools I have ever come across to explore and consider the deeper parts of ourselves and how we operate. (My Dad would have loved it!)
After completing The Human Design Certification courses, I began to share the tools with clients through 1:1 virtual and in person coaching sessions.
See the Coaching Tab for more info.
I've been obsessed with the process of transformation as far back as I can remember. When I was 4 years old, I remember telling everyone I wanted to be a butterfly when I grew up and, of course, believed it was a real possibility :)
As I grew older, the cycle of Birth-Death-Rebirth came to mean something entirely different. As I navigated through the world, I learned the brutal process that must happen for the caterpillar to become the butterfly. Crushing moments of betrayal, divorce, addiction and religious deconstruction are journeys of transformation I can intimately identify with and hold healing space for others in.
My journey is one filled with a variety of physical birth experiences, as well. I have 3 sons of my own and carried two of the sweetest babies as a gestational surrogate.
“Kali Jane” is the name I would have given my daughter if I had had one, but the Universe had other plans and sent me 3 sons instead. It’s a name full of polarity. “Kali” after the Hindu goddess who is stated to destroy evil in order to defend the innocent, and “Jane” meaning full of grace.
It's a reflection of the dual self. The dark and light. Polarities merged together to create something new. In lieu of birthing another child with this name, I birthed a business to explore and share a creative lifestyle.
My current expression of abstract art is through acrylic paints, and oil pastels on canvas, paper and wood. You can find my work across the United States, Canada and England.
I adore playing with layers and texture exploring the curious nature of chaos and comfort on canvas. The way it can make sense and settle things inside of you when viewing it through eyes of joy and adventure is truly magical.
